How to Make a Tesla Roadster-Style Kickflip Video with Your Car
The Roadster reveal on October 15, 2026 gave the internet two stunts to copy: a kickflip over a row of parked cars and a flip off an inverted ramp. This guide shows how to put your own car into those moments with Roadster AI — and what will and will not match the original.

Match the angle to the moment
Each Roadster AI template follows one camera angle of the two stunts:
- The headline kickflip: Kickflip, filmed from behind down the runway as the car launches past the box truck and rolls.
- The kickflip replays: Side Kickflip for the wide side-on view, Trackside Kickflip for the low camera beside the truck.
- The inverted ramp: Ramp Flip for the wide side view, Thruster Close-up for the drop and the gas jets, Overhead Ramp for the view from above.
If you only make one, make Kickflip in 9:16 — it is the moment most people recognise.
A photo that survives the barrel roll
During the roll the car is seen from below, from the side and upside down, so the model needs a complete picture of it. Use a sharp side or three-quarter photo in daylight with every wheel and both bumpers in frame. Cropped parts, heavy reflections and other cars overlapping yours are what usually make paint, rims or badges drift mid-air.
Settings
- Format: 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube and X. The ramp stunts need widescreen room the most.
- Quality: 720p HD (2 credits) keeps badges, rims and paint crisper during the roll than 480p (1 credit).
- Length: set by the template, from about 5 seconds for Side Kickflip to about 9 for Overhead Ramp.
What will differ from the real reveal
Your video shows your car, not a Roadster, in a venue modelled on the reveal: floodlights, haze, the parked lineup or the curved ramp, and thin gas jets with clouds of white smoke on touchdown. The motion follows the template closely but not frame by frame, and small details can vary between generations. The clip has stunt sound effects but no music and no crowd.
Share it honestly
Label the clip as AI-generated where the platform offers it, and do not present it as real footage of your car or as an official Tesla video. Roadster AI is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Tesla. Only use photos of cars you own or have permission to use.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Tesla to make the video?
No. Any car, SUV, truck or motorbike works, and you can switch to Product to kickflip something you sell.
Is this the official Tesla footage?
No. The real stunt was performed by a Roadster prototype at the reveal event. Roadster AI generates a new clip with your car modelled on that stunt.
Which angle is the most recognisable?
Kickflip, the view from behind as the car launches past the box truck. Ramp Flip is the most recognisable shot of the second stunt.
How long does it take?
Usually a few minutes. You can leave the page; the finished clip waits in My videos.
